ISHS 2026 will be held primarily at the Institute of Art and Social Communication (IACS) of the Federal Fluminense University (UFF), with some activities taking place in nearby venues, particularly keynote lectures and roundtables that require larger audience capacities.
The conference rooms, where most panels, workshops, and roundtables will be held, are all located along the same corridors (first and second floors) and each accommodate approximately 40 to 50 participants. IACS also has a comfortable auditorium with a seating capacity of 50. Activities requiring larger venues will take place in three additional locations:
- Nelson Pereira dos Santos Theater – This venue will host the conference opening ceremony, the first keynote lecture, and the welcome cocktail reception. It is located just outside the university campus, near the main entrance.
- ICHF Auditorium, Block P – This venue will host roundtables and keynote lectures on Tuesday and Wednesday. It is located approximately 200 meters to the left of the IACS building, on the ground floor of the Institute of Human Sciences and Philosophy (ICHF).
- ICHF Auditorium, Block O – This venue will host panels, keynote lectures, as well as the ISHS Awards Ceremony and General Assembly on Thursday and Friday. It is also located approximately 200 meters to the left of the IACS building, on the second floor of the Institute of Human Sciences and Philosophy (ICHF), accessible by both stairs and elevator.
